Apple accomplished that by being largely anti-competitive themselves and the FTC seems to be growing some teeth recently (finally)

I’m not sure how the path to it becoming a Sony exclusive really makes a difference, but even so that’s not even an accurate recounting of what happened. Marvel also talked to Microsoft about it, and Microsoft chose not to bite. It’s unclear who Marvel talked to first, but in either case it was not a case of Marvel…
Nintendo seems to be doing just fine. Apple built themselves into a mobile gaming juggernaut before CoD Mobile existed.
Sony didn’t create the Spiderman IP.
Call of Duty games are “essential” and even influence some people’s console-buying decisions.
If your gear changes your appearance then how can they also sell you skins?
Frame pacing issues in uploaded videos is not at all uncommon. Approach with caution for sure, but jarring motion in a youtube video isn’t necessarily a damning issue. As for the combat - it’s again one of those things that is hard to translate well on video. Perhaps that was a targeting issue, but perhaps that’s…
I’m kind of worried by the lack of counters in the tutorial. They’ve definitely taken what used to be the “counter” button and replaced it with ranged attacks, which makes it seem like they’ve at least been de-emphasized (they do have flashes on enemy attacks that make it seem like there is still some sort of counter…
so lets not pretend the average person is capable of nuance when it comes to humor directed at or adjacent to a marginalized community
This sounds like a minor thing, but honestly it makes one of my favorite new Xbox features even better. Quick Resume persists through unplugging the console, meaning you can literally move the Xbox from one room to another without losing any progress or waiting for the game itself to cold boot and load in - the only…
That kind of doesn’t add up though. The robot is capable of enough strength to break a finger, sure. But it has been programmed to not use that strength because it is working with chess pieces. Makes sense. But then, if it thinks it failed to pick up the piece and grabbed the kids finger, why would it not have done so…
Not sure why a robot should be held to lower standard than a human. Ok, sure, maybe you’re supposed to wait for your opponent to be done before you start your turn. If a human retaliated against that action by snapping the offender’s fingers (child or otherwise), would the official ruling be that it’s not their fault?…
People who need/want accessibility features in TLOU shouldn’t have to pay $70 9 years after the game came out (8 years after the PS4 version) to get them. Those things should be patched in to the existing game (at least the PS4 version that is still playable on the modern console today) for free.
That means you had bad wireless charging pads. Good ones exist, I wouldn’t discount the whole idea just because you haven’t been fortunate enough to have one. Unfortunately, for obvious reasons you can’t run through cars and try out all of the ones on the market like you can with charging accessories. But if you were…
I would love an AMA with a Hello Games accountant, because I continue to be amazed at all the stuff they do for free. I’m constantly asking myself “how do they make money?”
You say that as if there’s many, but isn’t it just Star Citizen?
I doubt it. They’re just going to be different types of games. The heart of Starfield is still a Bethesda-style RPG - yes, they’ve got more procedural gen before than they ever have (they’ve always had it, though), but they also claim to have more handcrafted content than ever before.
Since there are six classes in Wonderlands, the Amalgam stood a 1/6 chance of dropping as a Spellshot in the primary, and a further 1/5 chance to roll as a Graveborn in the secondary
Warframe is pretty much the gold standard of “free-to-play looter”, so getting another game like that with a medieval twist will be pretty welcome IMO.
The hard moments are still noticeably easier to get through if you feel like you have enough ammo/throwables/etc. to use them to get past a hard encounter, rather than having to basically stealth through everything. I definitely felt like the game was too hard when I didn’t have bullets etc., and felt like when I…
