Family of 3 all flying from LAX to Seattle (about 1,000 miles) for $320 on Virgin in the last week of March. This is round trip.
I dunno - the weird star puzzles me. It’s 5-pointed but I wonder why it’s there. Like, is it supposed to be some kind of Star of David?
well... I did fly to Fiji last in coach. I wasn’t next to a 350lb passenger. I mostly slept. No, it’s not comfortable, but if you’re not overweight and in ok shape, then you feel sore for a day but one good night’s sleep in a bed and it all straightens out. It beats rowing there for sure.
Yeah - look, I get it, we’re all squished together... But it’s not forever. 3, 4 hours for most people travelling domestically? That’s not bad. I’ve done some international flying in coach and yeah it sucks, but with a travel neck pillow and comfortable pants, it’s not like getting your head sawed off with a buck…
But the entire point of Tesla’s autopilot is that it permits the driver to NOT DRIVE. Without any kind of warning alarm, there is no reason to believe that the car was going to collide with the very brightly marked barrier. I don’t think this accident was due to driver “error”. The Driver relied on a system which…
That’s true. I’m flying 1,200 miles to visit relatives and the round trip ticket is just about $100. $100 for a 2,400 mile trip. In a car averaging 24MPG, that’s still 100 gallons of gas and at $3/gallon (California here), that’s $300 just on gas and something like 40 hours inside a car instead of 6-7 hours total in…
This is the reason why a 99.8% reliability rate is still not good enough. Human error contributes to accidents but in this case, having a human driver doing the driving would most certainly have avoided this accident. I’m glad nobody got hurt or killed.
so hoarding
all you need to do is set all the plastic on fire and then it takes up a lot less room.
how much laundry detergent are you using up in a week???
I think you defeated your own rant when you said “if you don’t vote, you disenfranchise yourself”. I think you meant that you choose to be without a voice but I think it can mean that you choose not to participate in a racist game that has always been designed for the purpose of dehumanizing you and using you as a…
I don’t have a sweet tooth. I usually reach for a cheap ramen that takes 3-4 minutes to heat up and cook or a frozen burrito that takes 1.5 min in the microwave. It has a lot to do with eating something hot. Eating crackers and other dry and cold items don’t satiate me.
Yeah I have a 220 and I prefer the 126. The 126 has better visibility all around. The amount of empty space inside the cabin is more... it’s not filled in with seats and armrests and padded trim... it’s more squared off. The roominess itself - the emptiness - is what makes me feel more relaxed. And I don’t even…
I bought it in the bay area but brought it to LA when I changed jobs. It was wonderful for most of LA freeways... but only if you have tiny little subcompacts as a reference point to start from... otherwise, sitting in LA traffic just plain sucks. I was just happy to be stuck and sitting in a comfy chair with lots of…
I started with a W115, then got 3 W108, and got 2 W126s. My wife got a W220. I’ve had a lot of cars in my life and I never expected to enjoy MB the way I have. I started out wanting light, agile, fun cars. But the S-class life is very nice. Of course, I’m always getting them used because I don’t make S-class money.
I used to commute in sub-compacts (95 Civic hatchback, 93 VW GTI) and sports cars (RX7), and then I got myself a used Mercedes Benz S Class. It was old - 85, 420SEL... but man was it comfortable... I felt really good after commuting... my body wasn’t tossed around in a loud tin can... I just felt comfortable.
It’s very presidential. shows leadership skills.
I’m looking up from now on.
that 737 shoulda put it into reverse and backed up a few feet. (lol)
