The idea was to show the characters experiencing similar and contrasting growth, and I thought it worked really well. That contrast doesn’t work linearly when one of your characters is going to be born decades outside the others having their experiences that are parallel. You could still tell the story, but that was

Sure? Seems kind of definitional. It was purposeful in the first season, and I don’t recall saying it was necessary for the second, so I’m not sure your comment qualifies for the criteria you present.

“Speculating about the mysterious incident earlier in the year, she said, “Maybe the problem is Americans don’t know how to eat them...””

I had no need of a map to figure out where characters were and such, and with the level of geography you need to understand the politics. It’s pretty much just North and South, and the dialogue is straightforward about it.

That’s mostly my take too. I have little issue with adaptation, but poor writing is poor writing. Nothing makes any sense long term. You need Ciri’s blood to make Witchers, but if you try it on her first she may die and then you can’t make Witchers? Just at a very basic level it makes no sense.

I don’t care about changes so much as I care that they are well written. The problem I saw here was that the additions and changes tended toward being stupid tropes as much as the travel issues did.

Defunding the police only sounds silly to people who haven’t been paying attention for decades while their budgets exploded and they were flooded with military equipment. The “very serious people” aren’t at all serious.

This one still bugs me months later. I just don’t get stopping in the lane. I mean, pull over safely where ever you can if visibility or driving condition is a problem, but stopping in the middle of a driving lane to protect your paint job? Wtf are you thinking?

Not limited to, but certainly more prevalent amongst. Flashback to Reagan’s Morning in America or Bush II’s “we create our own reality”. Disagreeing with subjective empirical reality, that is too liberally biased in their view, has been an ongoing Republican project for decades and has lead to democracy very literally

My viewership was over after one episode. Too many bad choices.

Carl’s Jr. has maybe four that should be included. The original chili dog, the Crisp Burrito (not the mini Green Burrito ones, the big one from the 80's with cheese melted inside), the Southwest Crispy Chicken sandwich (not the Santa Fe), and the classic California Roast Beef.

No perspective on gaming’s long standing issues with toxic masculinity, misogyny, and obsession with juvenility? Just snorts and giggles?

It seems like a lot of George’s resentment has shifted into apathy. Paul wants it, George is giving up. That diary entry was great. Also see the Scorsese film.

So, you “nerded out”, but not being an actual trained expert, got it wrong, as Bill points out for you.  Hubris is such a huge problem for America...

She took a lot of money to be “coerced” and thrown under the bus.  She’s not a grocery bagger or auto mechanic, she knows the job she took and performed.  With power comes responsibility.

“Ms. Townsend should not be blamed for this mistake.”

Thanks.  Best wishes.  Looking forward to whatever comes next.

He could literally run on this as a major selling point for the right.  No joke, this would be a plus if he want’s to run as an R.

Yeah, for the SJW one, if I squint just right, I can see the POV of the problem being the “warrior” part, because of the implied incivility. But... the people using the term fetishize the war analogy so absolutely they apply it to things like illiteracy and metal health. They think the Prince of Peace needs soldiers.

But profiting while hurting others isn’t great either, so credit where due.
