From the brief:
Nor is there any evidence that they do support it, at least none that has been reported. And the fact of the matter is that Apple has benefited a great deal recently from overly-broad and vague patents, and has (at least publicly) been the most avid tech company in terms of pursuing and enforcing patents that they…
Whether you're trolling or being intentionally dense I do not know. If you honestly can't see how overly broad software and design patents have lead to vagueness in terms of how to apply said patents, particularly in reference to a number of the recent patent disputes Apple has been involved in, then I don't know what…
no not really, not for extreme forms of depression. we're talking about people that quite literally can't get up out of bed in the morning because of how depressed they are. These severe intractable forms of depression a lot of times don't respond to medications, and so more extreme things are required (ECT -…
Read the quoted passage, broad and vague can be used interchangeably in the complaint being made. Are they always interchangeable, no obviously not. But in this case, yeah basically they are.
stop trying to pretend that "broad" and "vague" don't overlap a great deal when it comes to patenting something you intend to create.
I was curious so I went back and checked who's written last several "Giz Explains" articles (really the best articles this website does)...majority were written by Mr. Tarantola here. Kudos, sir, for being the one decent writer on this site, keep it up.
aaaaaaaaaaaand another useless article written by Sam Biddle, mainly to get the response in the comments that he's currently getting (dammit, I fell for it too!)
But he didn't say "don't drink," he said "drink in moderation" which is pretty much what the final bullet point on the list in the article says. And if you really want to complain about staying on topic, complain about the fact that 1/2 of the things this article talks about are related to how to avoid a hangover and…
that is just patently false...and in fact, just about every activity on the face of the Earth is inhibited in some way by alcohol...but go ahead and keep proving my point for me
jesus, the responses of you other commenters is ridiculous...you're really going to berate someone for having some measure of self control? A valid argument could be made that truly pathetic individuals are those that require the disinhibiting effects of alcohol as a means of escape from their otherwise scared and…
agreed 100%...and to artey, it's kinda sad you can find no other way to have a good time outside of ingesting so much of a toxin (from a purely biological standpoint, that is what alcohol is) that you lose conscious awareness of yourself, your actions, etc.
you mean how everything Ive has designed looks like a Dieter Rams knockoff?
bed no, couch yes
haha nice
right there with you...except i'm usually on the subway when I'm holding it that close ;)
Can't tell the difference under a set of conditions defined by how the term "Retina" was defined by Apple (or defined by how we define "perfect" vision). Problem is, there are plenty of scenarios (as other commenters have noted) in which having a PPI higher than the Apple's 326 would create a noticeable difference in…
ahahaha...then what's the point of it on the iphone? or what's the point of retina display on the new mbps, where you're sitting farther away than when you're using a phone.
CT is in NE....NE is considered to be CT, MA, RI, VT, NH, ME.
