I’m going to let this circle back around to Rizzo on this one because he is part of the modern trend in baseball, where the general managers are making playing decisions and managers are more like middle managers. The Nats aren’t the only team to be doing this. The Dodgers blew game 2 of the World Series when they

I don’t know.  I’m with the farmer on this one.  I mean, if the race organizers can’t be bothered to set up the course to prevent this, than by all means, let a farmer block it.  I mean, farmers are always protesting during the Tour de France, so why not this?

He deserves dignity as a human, like everybody does. And with some people, it’s very hard to hold to that, given their actions. I know. I’ve represented several pedophiles, and it’s not easy to not jump up and beat them and ask “What the fuck were you thinking?” And yes, he may deserve mob justice, but that does not

I’m sorry for you.

We will have to do that.  What he did was a crime, and there is an appropriate level of punishment for that crime.  And he deserves that punishment.  And while people may think he should himself be victimized for what he’s done, I cannot join in.  Nobody should be a victim, even if we think that person may deserve it.

I don’t know about the federal prison system, but prisoners can ask to be in PC on their own at the state level. Clearly, Nassar hasn’t done that. I’m not sure they have to try putting him in general population, but even if there is a cause of action that they didn’t attempt to put him in the general population, it’s

I was on the /r/Nationals thread this morning and there were still fanboys thinking that they could make the playoffs and win not only the Wild Card but even a playoff series (But Scherzer!), despite never having done so since moving to DC, and without checking pretty sure that the Expos never won a postseason series

Sorry, two wrongs don’t make a right.  And yes, he is a piece of shit for what he did, but mob justice shouldn’t be the rule.  I won’t shed a tear for when he does shuffle off this mortal coil, never being a free man again, but despite everything he did, he still deserves dignity.

First off, sex offender is a designation for non-incarerated people. If part of your sentencing includes incareration, then you don’t get a sex offender status until your release. Larry Nassar doesn’t have a sex offender status because he hasn’t been released back into the public.

Yeah, that’s the rub.  No good solutions.

Thoughts and prayers are to be saved and only used for the victims of gun violence, especially mass shootings.

If they can’t put him in a prison with other similar offenders, he really has to be in PC. It’s the only way to keep him safe. I think putting him in a general population is only going to risk serious injury or death, and I’m sure there are some that will think it’s appropriate, but it’s not.

First off, if the school dress code doesn’t explicitly prohibit bandanas, then the student is doing nothing wrong and unless there is a good reason for compelling one student to not wear it, they cannot single that student out without applying it across the entire school. There is at least one school district that I

I’ve got all sorts of dumb injury stories, but I’ll lead off with one very similar to Albert’s

To be fair to Fox News, one black singer looks the same as another. They just watched The Blues Brothers and decided what Aretha Franklin should look like now.

I totally feel your pain. As a DC United supporter since MLS’ inception, those original teams were great. And I kind of feel like MLS has dicked over a lot of the original teams in favor of newer, flashier teams, especially those with connections to clubs in other leagues (e.g. NYCFC). Beyond the Northwestern teams,
