I won’t shame anyone for the choices they make. It’s not my place. Had everything been priced as if there were not a natural disaster taking place, what prevents a greedy person from buying ALL the water, and then there is none left?
I’m of two minds about it really.
By gouging, you ensure that one person cannot effectively prevent anyone else from getting water by buying it all up. This keeps enough on hand that anyone can come in and buy an expensive, but needed bottle of water.
On the other hand, it’s hard for someone who makes very little money…
