Same. Purple was my color of choice.  That was the game that got me into cars.

There was a ‘6' in there too.

And america is also one of the only places where particulate emissions and nitrogen oxides from diesel engines aren’t shortening people’s lives.....aside from the other problems with pollution that exist.

Lotus Evora 400

Shouldn't require much computing power if they optimize gains offline to balance control effort vs state deviation in an LQR-type setup.

Are these cars track day ready without structural or safety mods such as the addition of a roll bar?  Lots of tracks have rules restricting the use of convertables, but they are vaguely worded and I would think McLaren would have thought of that

I hope my LS7 doesn’t turn into an ice cube....

Some would say that any performance car costlier than the average transaction price in the market (~35k) is affordable too. This is middle management’s idea of “affordable”.  An S2000 is mine.

Who doesn’t like cougars on their racecars?

I cannot think of a worse city for a car-related blog to be based in.

Purchased a Cruze hatch for this reason.  People call it a clown car and say they have never experienced anything like it.  They also wonder why I have to move a lever in the middle every few seconds.

Not for the money.

Not a bad way to spend CR 4,500,000.

I just snagged me a Cruze Hatchback on an employee discount. Heated seats, bluetooth, pushbutton start and a manual for 20k. Its a bit larger than the cars you mentioned, but the extra space is nice if you haul butts or luggage. Depends on what your needs are I guess.

I did that at Michigan! Best b-day present ever. The g-forces, even at 155, were the most memorable part. I can’t imagine the forces being felt by the pros for hours.

Im a young with a car. If you have a car, the gas deals alone make the membership worth it. My Costco has local restaurant gift cars sold at 4/5ths value. Its like printing money.

Have it. Can confirm.

A bit of fuel would be used when accelerating the engine to match the speed of a lower gear, but then no further fuel would be used while the engine is kept above the idle speed by the chassis of the vehicle. If your engine braking event is short enough, it wouldn’t be worth it to downshift while if your engine

Ah yes, forgot about the BCM. Also didn’t realize that those kinds of things are diagnosed these days. Maybe I should get a newer car, hahaha.

What you are proposing would require a ton of extra controllers and wiring. Having a CAN Bus doesn’t automatically get you open/short high/short low diagnostics on every circuit. Since the lights do not interfere with emissions performance, it is very unlikely that those circuits will be diagnosed in the near future.
