Silly $kay... There’s no car in that picture.
Silly $kay... There’s no car in that picture.
I want Toyota to recover all the Supras (all of them, regardless of generation) and restore them. This would be amazing. Then, ban stupid-asses from modifying them into Fast-and-Furious-style awfulness. No go-fast decals/decals, no drifting mods, no idiotic exhausts...none of that. Nissan and Mazda can do this with…
Learned to drive a manual in a ‘89 just like the pictured truck, except for the color. It was an outstanding truck which worked so much harder than it probably should’ve. I’ll always love those trucks.
I didn’t say they don’t need regulations; they do. I said they don’t need regulations for the reason they stated. It’s not the government’s role to make sure an industry pursues a technology just to keep the playing field level. That is most certainly a referee, and I don’t want the government meddling.
I didn’t ignore the externality - I recognize the emissions aspect of this. I just don’t agree it requires government influence. I said it’s a business risk, and I don’t expect the government to limit business risks in a referee capacity. No.
I’m not looking for an internet argument, either. Sorry to hear you got…
I’m not convinced the government needs to serve as a referee to make sure businesses (any business) play fairly. The company needs to decide on its own whether they want to carve a niche that sets them apart from others. Did Subaru want the government to intervene when they decided to go all-AWD? “We’re not going to…
I always like to look back on the back story behind city planning, such as San Francisco’s layout and how the 1906 earthquake gave them a sort of reset button to do it better. I wonder if Detroit can use the man-made disaster which resulted in swaths of blighted land to rid itself of some bad past planning and start…
I don’t understand the issue, either. Automakers formed a pact agreeing that more efficiency is good. Ok... Then why does the government need to intervene? Just....do it. It’s not like we need the government to mandate all business decisions. That’d be no different than if a bunch of manufacturers said, “There’s a lot…
Is this one if those European versions we don’t get in the U.S.? The Civic MPV?
I know what arbiter means, that’s why I know it doesn’t apply to me.
Now that’s some landing gear!
I’ve been in lower-level Civics, and the view out is nice. I imagine the same is true here. Otherwise, maybe the view from overhead is okay?
I can’t tell there’s any damage.

I’m not declaring myself the arbiter of things big and small. However, the fact remains that the country kept on moving, with sensible people not losing sleep over this. It’s just your ilk that feel everything is a crisis if Trump declares something. You (the collective you) overreact so much that when truly egregious…
Your repeated assumption about my opinion of trangender people is wrong - give that up.
What if I told you I don’t like that policy, either. What if I told you it’s possible to dislike more than one thing? I’m not embracing Viagra spending by saying this spending isn’t a valid military expense. It has nothing to do with being afraid of people.
The problem with your comment is...I didn’t say anything in favor of boner pills. I can oppose both, you see? Disliking one doesn’t mean liking the other.
I’m not ignoring policy. I’m saying THIS policy doesn’t warrant the outrage it received. That’s different than saying, “I don’t want to hear these arguments!” It’s saying, “WE HAVE MUCH BIGGER PROBLEMS TO ADDRESS, SO STAY FOCUSED!”
Except...I didn’t vote for Trump. I’m proud of that. And I didn’t defend this decision, I said it’s not important.
I despise Trump - that’s why I couldn’t/didn’t vote for him. I’m able to separate my like/dislike of a politician from that politician’s policy. In this instance, the policy doesn’t matter. Even if Hillary or Bernie announced this, I would still consider it unimportant.
