The CR-V wasn’t cross-shopped against the Touareg. Having similar size doesn’t mean they compete. The Lexus IS doesn’t compete with the Cruze, for example.

I miss my ‘08. It was ridiculously strong for towing and had distinguished looks for its class. It was quick, too, even with the V6. The operating costs were high, though.
