Finished this yesterday. Good book and good review; I had many of the same likes and unsettled thoughts. One thing that occurred to me halfway through and was kind of distracting - the book has a sort of House of Cards trajectory, and if you don't picture Robin Wright as Mathilda while reading, I'm not sure I can know…
