When someone continues to put forth the appearance of being completely un-fucking-aware of what they’re doing, a second honk is justified.

They were clearly both assholes but only one of them wasted forty minutes and two other cops time over it.

I’ll bet $1 the cop was texting. I see cops text while driving all the time, even though it is illegal here to do so. Then again, I see everyone doing it. If I am honking my horn at your dumb driving, you are probably texting. Assholes sitting at a green light? Almost always texting. Put up your damn phone and drive.

Needlessly? Do you like sitting stopped at green lights for no reason? Not to mention, it’s potentially a safety issue sitting stopped in traffic at a green light - someone sees that light ahead and does not notice cars stopped there unexpectedly. This is Cop Power Trip 101 type stuff.

He didn’t honk again until the cop hit the brakes again. I’d do the exact same thing if some asshole decided to stop in an intersection in front of me with a green light.

Here’s my glass-half-full take on this: because of hazards like potholes, gravel, and bears, you have no choice but to pay attention to the road when riding a motorcycle. None of that texting bullshit, and lack of attention seems to be the root cause of most modern traffic issues.
