A precursor to the problems with the Cavalier was the Holden Camira. It won awards when it came out but was chronically underpowered, poor quality paintwork, insuffiicient drainage so the car became a pool when it rained and cooling problems.

That's what is so brilliant about the Falcon. It's got the practicality of a sedan, but enough power (especially in the turbo and FPV incarnations) that it's exciting as well. Why aren't Ford selling these in USA? if they did, at least we'd get to keep them down under for a while longer.
