Im convinced TikTok is a social control experiment. See how easy it is to get people to do things. Like, it does other things so it’s not super obvious, but the end goal is to just get people to do things that are patently stupid and to keep pushing that limit.

In fairness, it’s not like the traitors left the south in pristine condition.

Lets hope not. The “steal an item from your classroom and take a photo of it at home” challenge and the “urinate but not in the toilet” challenge both took the local high school here by storm a few weeks ago.

I mean, go ahead and laugh at TikTok, but some of these challenges are downright toxic. There’s been one going around for vandalizing your school, and it resulted in several schools in my area getting plastered with racist, homophobic graffiti.

I’m guessing if the owner figures it out these dipshits will be doing the Emergency Room Challenge.

In the pre-Twitter era, my intake of tabloid trash was pretty limited. I don’t remember much coverage of Brittany Murphy, although I do remember plenty of equally exploitative coverage of Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse, and Lindsay Lohan. It seems the cycle of “what the fuck happened” biopicsploitation never ends.

I feel like we’re well full-circle where the navel-gazing about “were tabloids terrible to people in the 2000s” has turned into another way of satisfying the same markets that harmed these celebrities in the 2000s, just with a thin veneer of “those guys were bad” to try and pretend like they’re not profiting the same

Alexander Hamilton statues are correlated with liberalism and racial harmony.

Watching King of the Hill again, and I’m struck by how talented Murphy was as a voice-over actress, to say nothing of how great she was in her live movies. Not gonna comment on the documentary, just to praise Murphy one more time.

Murphy died of substance issue complications as did her terrible partner.

It’s not terribly surprising that a director might not remember over 15 years later whether or not an actor was going to school. I’m lucky if I can remember what I ate for dinner 3 days ago.

Rudd looks so young there! That was what, 2011?

blah this seems very exploitive and gross, Murphy died of substance issue complications as did her terrible partner. There is no need to sensationalize a story of Hollywood traumatizing a young woman day in and day out, when this should be a documentary holding us 2000's audiences responsible for eating up the

It’s in the same vein as even though I keep watching some of the police/agency procedurals, where when they finally track down the suspect in the second act he evades the detectives/agents.

I thought the spirit of Halloween was Paul Rudd looking even babier-faced than usual:

Home Alone Kills

The filmmakers seem to have forgotten what the Halloween movies are really all about. Tyra Banks filming a reality show with Busta Rhymes.

What a stupid name. His name isn’t Halloween!

Your guide to the Halloween multiverse. The MCU are rank amateurs compared to these guys!

I’m going to have to take issue with this film and how the trailer showed Michael Myers killing a number of firefighters and the police arriving later and finding them dead. It’s standard practice for police to arrive with if not before the firefighters to secure the scene precisely because the cause of the fire could
