Unless I missed something, I think I saw the second smallest Mini you can buy today, and it was a pretty big car.

There isn't a sick porcupine in my garage.
Well, I've noticed that nobody follows me too close when they see my truck start bucking randomly at about 45mph because of the broken belt on my right front tire. The broken exhaust hanger also did wonders to make you ignore loud rap music coming out of a car at a stop light.
#1 is probably why I'll never have a nice car......
Well, that title assumes that you are going sideways everywhere.
My mind went straight to this. Of course, in this case the hood was a fiberglass lift off.
As a driver of a 1989 Dodge D350, I was wondering what you thought of the D150 you had during the first America special. Would you have kept it given the option?
I'm not sure why this body transplant idea bugs me so much, but it does.
This question could be considered to be a bit of ancient history, but when you were in Alabama during that first American road trip, were you guys actually unlucky enough to run into that mess at the gas station or was that at least a tiny bit staged?
Ok, who forgot to give me my benefit package?
Weren't these used for rally cars? And I understand that the fact they were still RWD and the shorter wheelbase provided a fun drive (from what I've been told, never had the opportunity myself)
Mid engined means the engine is behind the driver but ahead of the rear axle. Rear engine like you are thinking of means the engine is behind the rear axle.
This, maybe with added windows, and climate control. My foot might get a little heavy from time to time.
Take about a foot out of the rear overhang and then make it a shooting brake. After that I think you would have a pretty nice car here.
Well I think this is much better than my TDI Midget idea............
I'm no expert, but I also have to question this idea.
Added note to that idea, if the hood is heavy like on my truck, simply lowering the hood without actually stopping it before it latches could probably cause an issue there too.
