I don't get much joy from this anymore. Even tearful reunions between beloved characters have devolved into an overdone narrative tool in this show's lame storytelling arsenal. Rinse, repeat.

"Holy Crap!"

The A.V. Club
A perfect storm of self-indulgence

I wonder if it's worthwhile to participate in this or if it's pointless to fight his troll army.

Female genre directors: Jennifer Kent, Leigh Janiak, Lynne Ramsay, Mary Harron, the Soska sisters, Ana Lily Amirpour, Helene Cattet, Veronika Franz, Jennifer Lynch, Julia Ducournau…

Yeah, "people are throwing up in theaters" is the go-to story for any horror marketing team since at least Saw.

It's still supposed to be a mainstream release that needs to make at least $100M to recoup it's budget. Being too gross would put it in a niche that would make it impossible to do so. I expect it to be somewhat in line with movies like Crimson Peak or The Conjuring on the gross out scale, so not really gross at all.

It's kind of amazing the studio greenlit this after Verbinski delivered one of the biggest box office bombs in recent memory (Lone Ranger). On the other hand, the trailers make it look more expensive than the $40M budget it actually had.

I love McKinnon, but doesn't this show have other performers who can do political impressions as well? What will they do, if Hillary, Conway, Sessions, DeVos and Liz Warren have to appear in the same sketch for some reason?

She should play Trump himself. Would it be the funniest, most creative and most unexpected choice? Definitely not, but I don't care anymore at this point. Anything bringing this idiot closer to a severe heart attack is fine with me.

Don't worry. Putin has a plan.

That David Gordon Green is allegedly "best known for stoner-comedy genre hybrids" is a tragedy, since more than half of his roster is in fact not that, but remarkably powerful, thoughtful and atmospheric dramas, especially his malick-esque debut masterpiece "George Washington". He's never done horror before (he was…

She should play Trump himself. That would finish him off.

Yay for The OA!

It's kinda horrifying what happened to her face, especially her eyes, within the span of 6 months. Her eyes weren't nearly as baggy when she joined the Trump campaign. It's like all the vileness finally breaking out of her and melting her face until it's a hateful, monstrous grimace.

Bodyshaming the fascist will save the world, no doubt.

I don't know about Casey Affleck, but I was under the impression that Birth Of A Nation failed to receive any nominations, because it turned out to be not as good as it was hyped up to be at first.

Toxic is a brilliant song.

Words also have different meanings in different countries. I have no idea what the alt-right in Cyprus is all about, but it has no relation to the american alt-right movement of the present day, which is white supremacy.

And the big festivals (Cannes, Venice, Toronto, Berlin, etc.) don't care about language at all when handing out their awards.
