One of my first thoughts on seeing the ad was that it reminded me of B99 and seemed like a cop comedy without the cops, so the reviewer didn’t exactly pull that out of their ass.

Council of Reeds was a Hickman thing, so yeah it was 20+ years later.
Oh god, I had a friend turn on Night Court during our MTG Commander night and it was unbearable. Just pure sub-Lorre terribleness.
There really have only been three successful ones ever - Barney Miller, Reno 911, and B99.
The B99 reference is interesting. When we saw the trailer I commented to Mrs. F. that Joel McHale probably got that part because Andy Samberg turned it down.
I would really love this to be at least average. Night Court has been unwatchable, I could really use some new sitcoms to fit into the rotation. The last McHale show I tried was one about a National Geographic/Outdoors type magazine a number of years back that wasn’t all that great as I recall, hope this can be decent.
The Breaking Bad one was awful. Funny is not taking actors and having them repeat old lines but with a product name cut-and-pasted into it. Funny is doing something clever.
“Say. Its. Name.”? Painful.
How ironic if Flash ends up being the only good Snyderverse DC movie. I haven’t like a single one of the ones they’ve done before this - in fact, hated them all - but that one does look promising (minus the big ol' elephant in the room).
It does look like they’re leaning into him being old, not just “OK, let’s pretend this is just Indie...but he’s slightly middle-aged.” It does look fun.
Plus I’m getting some Operation Paperclip vibes from Mads...
The new Indy does look like a whole lot of fun
god that was beautiful to experience
Get your facts straight. Cash Cloud is the actual registered company name, Coin Cloud is just a DBA they use for branding. If you scroll all the way to the bottom of Coin Cloud’s site, you’ll see this:
He (Badgely) recently did an episode of Conan O Brien’s podcast and impressed me immediately with how kind and down-to-earth he seemed. This just increases that, and I’m really rooting for the guy.
In my Hebrew school, they called them “Jews for Jesus”. Anyway, why is she dressed like she’s off to Hogwarts?
Sounds like all the involved parties discussed it respectfully and worked it out. Shame they didn’t seek out your expert advice.
what a weirdly hostile reaction to what sounds like a healthy and respectful dialogue between two creative professionals who have worked together for multiple years
“that’s when you walk away from the job not ask the job to change itself...”
Lynskey’s great in the part so far. She’s got that interesting “disappointed schoolteacher” vibe that only slightly conceals her ruthlessness as the leader of the KC rebels.
She has been so excellent in so much. But I particularly like that she was the best in 2-1/2 men.
Jesus fuck. These god damned people and their stupid body obsessions. Our entire society is warped by these depraved expectations. But was not always like this.
