Damn, where the hell was that room?

Seriously. From the sound of it, this kid was with them constantly. It’s basically like having a chaperone everywhere you go.

I love my friends, but I wouldn’t want them to bring their kids with us everywhere we went. This isn’t one or two days, it’s almost the whole season.

It’s become much more tame over the years as the conference grew smaller. Autodesk bought companies, so one party where there were 3, etc.

I haven’t been in a couple years, but I’ve certainly been to parties like this. And there are definitely some stories of parties with strippers and boa constrictors or other wild…

SIGGRAPH is a similar type of event that caters more to film, and the parties are identical.

Or so my friend tells me..

I get why taking your kid to work to be a cool thing.

But I don’t know why the other players would have to have a kid hang around EVERY day. You have to watch your language, etc, and the clubhouse is generally a pretty loose place.
