It’s definitely weird. The show says Ash changed the past, but Cheryl still died at the cabin?

I thought everything with Brandy was essential to the season here. The relationship between her and Ash is arguably the biggest turn, and I loved seeing the stages of fury she went through towards the guy.

Oh, the ending of season two is a mess, and the whole parade sequence clearly looked like a dream. Who knows. It might still be a dream. But, I think, especially given the incongruity of this series (seriously, the stitching between either film is wonky), that they just wiped the slate clean essentially, which was

I agree. I love those scenes in the woods here. According to Dana DeLorenzo last night, they really did shoot those scenes in the NZ woods ... at like 3 AM. Terrifying.

I’m not sure this will make sense, but sometimes it’s easy to forget this is a horror show first and foremost - maybe I’m desensitized to the gore and demons and/or those are to be expected, but this episode felt like horror from start to finish. The framing of Brock’s return, set design of the woods, atmosphere

I love that this show continues the tradition of having the Deadites act like dicks, there was no good reason to stick her tongue through the photo of Candy other than to mess with Ash’s head.

“That was a huge missed opportunity, not least of all because Brett Dalton deserved to be in the show’s 100th episode.”

Agree 100% that would have been a nice touch. I’ll just imagine that the Hive fears were really a visual summation of Ward-related issues.

Part of what I love about Coulson is that he really hasn’t changed. Everyone else around him is constantly changing and in a way, I find it kind of refreshing that he doesn’t change. No matter what hell they go through, he’s just this incredibly steadfast character. And, personally, I love that about him. Could the

Now that you mention it - yes, I do think having Ward in that fear dimension role would have been phenomenal. Not only for the acting fireworks that would have been unleashed, but because Ward represents so much of what has been tearing apart the family Coulson has been building.

I’m shocked that they didn’t get Brett, who doesn’t really seem to be doing very much right now, and always seems up for another appearance. I wonder if they could really only afford one actor, and they just went with Deathlok.

YoYo missing the wedding made me irrationally angry. Couldn’t Mack have video conferenced her in damn it? Also why do those two not have a ship name yet? Melena maybe?

I think she deserves to be in an actual MCU movie after all this.

Fanservice or not, the FitzSimmons wedding was the real tearjerker moment for me. They are the heart and soul of the show, and while I could have done without the explicit confirmation that Deke is their grandson, it was a welcome injection of pure happiness for just a couple of minutes.

- Ya know, over the past few seasons, I constantly say to myself when watching “Ya know, Deathlok would sure be useful right about now.” And he finally showed up! :D

Such a silly sentiment, thinking Agents of SHIELD as a show can’t survive without Coulson. Coulson should have died LAST season, and have Daisy take over.

Yeah, I have to say based on these first two episodes, I’m pretty worried the series has peaked. I haven’t laughed once this season. These first two episodes feel like the show has a checklist and it’s just soullessly going through the motions. Like sure the whole Ash being a sexist !*&^ is riotously funny when done

I think you just described the entire franchise in a nutshell.

I heard Mrs Lam. And that’s what’s on the IMDb page.

The Knights of Sumeria were definitely formed after Ash went back to the Middle Ages, right? Maybe we’ll get a few more overt Army of Darkness references.

Glad to see Ash vs Evil Dead is still quality, was definitely worried about the show after the trouble behind the scenes at the end of season 2 and that incredibly sloppy finale. The first episode of this season was good but it wasn’t.... it didn’t really define itself, it just felt like a set up and didn’t give you a
