Super Saiyan Beard is everything I wanted from Super Saiyan Nappa.

I prefer my theory that the kids were super-saiyans due to the moms being just that awesome... and the dads just kind of helped a bit.
Basically Dragon Ball Z is about a bunch of Asians that can turn into stronger, more powerful white people when enraged.
Was it on Flash this season that someone referenced The Hulk? and then in this episode Barry mentions his Spidey Sense tingling. Kinda weird they keep referencing Marvel things on a DC show.
I kept thinking “When is this supposed to get boring?” - The Thinker makes a nice change of pace from all the other Big Bads (I loved his “Discovering you were The Flash was one of the more underwhelming revelations” comment, given how blase Barry can be about not wearing his costume eg BREAKING INTO THE GUY’S HOUSE…
It was good to see a glimpse of Cavanaugh back in Thawne mode. So fun.
After 4 years they finally learned took to heart the lesson of the series: Barry sucks.
That’s what the police complaints and the restraining order was for. Now if he disappears Barry is top of the list of suspects.
Don’t underestimate your elders. My mom is 89, bought the first issues of Superman and Batman as a kid and loves going to all the superhero movies with me.
His only clear motive is to not die, he probably wants to use Barry’s ability to regenerate to save himself, which (so it can’t be solved with a conversation) I’m assuming would be lethal to Barry.
I like the chemistry between Dr. Mechanic and Mr. Dr. Mechanic. The idea of pitting husband-wife team against husband-wife-laboratory team makes for some good parallels, as does Speedy Body versus Speedy Brain.
It’s a million times better than any villain he needs to ‘run faster than’, so no thanks.
I agree. The answer is almost always “Run, Barry, run”. This one is outside of the box. I think it’s more menacing. Also, my husband I call the villain Bell Biv Devoe (now you know).
I personally hate mac n cheese but loved the team being won over by DeVoe’s love for it, since I realize that I am a weirdo about this & most people are quite into it (as The Thinker I imagine calculated...)
Agreed, I love that there was a complete lack of Villain-of-the-Week shenanigans and focused squarely on DeVoe and I love his Thawne!Wells-ish cold calculating demeanor (and a love of mac n cheese). I’m really intrigued how Team Flash overcomes a baddie that can’t be solved by Flash running faster-er-er, like the last…
Honestly, getting some time away from Team Flash and a break from low-rent villains was kind of nice, and hey - turns out having a non-speedster, non-dickweed Big Villain actually is more interesting! Even getting shown up by Thawne/Wells in his brief cameo wasn’t enough to make Thinker look too bad in…
Hm. I actually found Neil Sandilands’ performance pretty engaging. It’s a nice change from the bluster that we usually get from the season’s villains.
At least there’s another awesome legacy to Eobard Thawne: He created another super evil genius like himself. ;)
All of Barry’s idiotic plans in the past, everybody’s all speed ahead. So it’s about right that the one time Barry’s instincts are actually correct, nobody believes him.
