If there is to be humanity in the government, it should be written into the law. The law is supposed to be black and white, with no room for individual interpretation. The previous administration created a grey area, and this administration has gone back to black and white.

He was here on a work permit, and convicted of a crime directly related to the work he was doing. The Obama administration chose not to fully enforce the terms of his stay, but the Trump administration has.

If this guy is a citizen, his rights were clearly violated. However, 700 people in 9 years isn’t exactly a crisis. Especially considering most of those are probably not as egregious as this example.
