So, why doesn’t China take its own advice? There is an “established order” in a lot of industries. Meanwhile, China is doing all it can to corner every possible market. Belt and road is designed specifically to upend the “established order”, but China has yet to notice... apparently.

I’ve had a “house” email for years... just for a different reason. With home automation comes accounts with various device services. Chief among them is the Google account that the Google Assistant uses. I’ve had sub-accounts of our primary email accounts for automation, each kid, and a “family” account.

Or they could use that space for a range extender. That would allow long range at a lower cost, with quicker refueling than a massive battery. Instead of an expensive 200+kWh battery, you would have a ~60kWh battery and ~150 HP Ecoboost generator tuned for efficiency. Every 7 gallons of fuel would replace 100kWh of

The Cybertruck is Arnold Schwarzenegger running the 100 meters. We need him to run a marathon. Few light-duty truck-buyers need Arnold, and would be ok with “The Rock”.

Carbon fiber (or glass or “greenfiber”) with a thermoplastic (something like polycarbonate, or a green equivalent) as the resin would be the best option. Instead of a composite panel that breaks and goes to the trash, it would allow repairs by simply heating the panel to the correct temperature, and using a vacuum

“Planned obsolescence”... Ever hear of it? Durable goods manufacturers actually employ engineers, whose only purpose is to modify the design to ensure that the product lasts longer than the warranty, but not too long.

No reason for a truck to be your everyday vehicle?

So, are you suggesting we limit the use of trucks to “approved” uses, or that they only be sold to businesses? Either suggestion is problematic.

18.6 MPH? What about school zones? 22 should be the limit, “It’s for the children!”

I ran out and BOUGHT a used GMC Envoy...

Putting a "Turbo" badge on a non-turbo car would have a class-action lawsuit filed before it even hits production.

Inconceivable!

I’m waiting to see the specs. I’m sure the torque/horsepower, 0-60, towing and safety numbers will all improve over the base models. However, if the range is cut significantly, the EV-150 is going to be dead on arrival.

Overnight charging would certainly be preferred. However, adding more caveats to a tech that already suffers from rang anxiety is a tough sell.

The windmills would have to be very close to traffic to be effective (at all). They would present a safety hazard in case of an accident or “stray” vehicle.

How about a few more “issues”?

I like In-n-Out. I just like Whataburger better.

In-n-Out’s burgers are so tiny, though. I have to get 2 double-doubles to feel like I ate one Whataburger. Flavor is good on the double-bouble, but the regular burger is missing something. Whataburger just makes a better burger, for my tastes.

Patties are 1/3 pound, instead of typical 1/4 pound. Also made with leaner beef, which gives you more “after-cooked” weight. Also seasoned with seasoned-salt and cooked to order (takes longer, but it doesn’t sit in hot grease waiting to be sold).
