Speaking as a guy who used to write ad servers for a living ... I’ve had to explain what’re you saying here over and over and over to people. You sum it all up very well. I like to thing that at a certain level of intelligence and self-awareness, intelligence is actually knowing what information about your own

I just want to say I appreciate your format here.

I work in digital advertising and yes, obviously this is a myth (or I’d be using it). It happens to me now and again as well - it’s just a coincidence. Sometimes it’s because whoever you were with has used your wifi to do a search or whatever.

Geodata can do that. My friend was pregnant last year, and for a few days after every time she came over we’d get ads about baby stuff. If you’re in proximity to someone for a period of time, your ad preferences will “bleed” over to other people based on the (often correct assumption) that you’ll be discussing

“Statement X. Anti-statement X!”

Oh my, is that how the internet works?? I had no idea!

Except Bowen Yang is a cast member, and you, and Chapelle, are just a pair of twats not actually connected to the show. So, yeah, his opinion in this case is much more important than yours.

Freedom of speech protects his right to be a bigot and a bully, and it protects our rights to call Dave Chappelle a piece of shit hack. Shit cuts both ways.

People's minds usually jump to the first thing they they themselves would do in that situation. This person isn't worth responding.

I really really enjoyed it, especially the soundtrack and the voice actors. I think The Boy and the Heron should win, but I don’t think Wish or SMB should have even been nominated.

I haven’t concluded it, hence the ‘I’m sure’

I find your essay about how you don’t care a little short.

Hey guys, this person doesn’t care about anything being discussed here! They care so little they just had to type up a reply to let everybody know how little they care!!

Yeah I’m not going to listen to aesthetic advice from a site that falls over itself to applaud Kia / Hyundai for their design choices.

No one cares

Don’t like the terms, don’t buy to begin with.

This is untenable for two reasons.

1) if you need to buy a car they all have terms, you’re kind of up shits creek if they all have some clause you don’t like. So you must work around issues that are not your own.
Bonus: If you buy the car second hand you probably didn’t

Thats not true unless it’s been edited since your comment was posted. He listed hacking your smart home devices, etc. You could hack everything in your home or your own car, etc. Which to be honest is kind of fun. Ive picked my own door locks and a safe I (used) to own. After picking that safe in 30 seconds I tossed

What kinda BS attitude is this. If I bought it I'm going to tinker with it. It's my device, not the companies. If they want to hide what's under the hood, too bad so sad you don't get that privilege.

It has a lot of uses. I’m planning on buying one on the work account as a security multitool: Penetration testing, NFC-based asset tagging, creating and reading security badges, regaining control of systems that have been locked down by malicious actors, and more. All of that can apply in a tech-savvy home environment.

Killing people over a few hundred bucks is stupid and barbaric actually
