Telling black people to shut up about the subject of cultural representation in American pop culture is a pretty shitty look, buddy. Maybe you should sit this discussion out, since you have nothing of value to contribute.

But have you had any class that taught reading comprehension? The issue here is that if you continually don’t like something, you don’t have to watch. “It’s not interesting”, “the sameness”, and “it’s NOT Succession anymore” (which is nonsensical) aren’t critiques of any kind, they are juvenile statements of disgust.
I think you might be watching a different show than the rest of us. The good news is, it’s not like someone’s holding a gun to your head*—you’re totally free to just change the channel/website and watch something else.
The flare will have them doing Crazy Ivans.
I used to trade barbs with a libertarian and it never got awkward. I would suggest that Trump unlocked the inner fascist in some of these people and there’s no putting that cat back into the bag.
A boycott will not work. I mean, there is that to consider right? Boycotting Activision/Blizzard is useless. Anyone who had any interest in boycotting them has done so already, and still Diablo 2 Remake and CoD sold just fine.
At this point, it doesn’t matter if you stop buying (admittedly good) products or not. They’re going to keep making money hand over fist.
Gonna try and clarify this for those that don’t understand just how ineffective individual boycotts are. For a boycott to be successful it requires several steps, all of which are necessary and if one is not completed it breaks down for that individual attempt.

Yeah clearly the best way to help the people in the company this is about is to make sure they don’t have work. At that point it’s not really about caring about the abused workers at all anymore.
I assume you worked 20 years in the PR-department of EA?
Gender and age are two different things.
Skimming his past comments, the guy’s identity seems to be based entirely around unhinged aggression. Definitely best ignored, no need to let someone like that infect others with their toxic negativity.
I’m not sure what confuses you about that concept though? It’s not sexist to catcall a stripper at a strip club, it is sexist to catcall random women on the street because you can’t control yourself. Seems pretty straightforward.
I should have been more clear. I am not familiar with either person other than when I have seen headlines or mentions in articles. The only time I was on Twitch was to watch a guitar player from Trivium, I can’t watch other people play games it drives me crazy. It was born of being out of touch and lazy, nothing…
oh so this is the new “I dont even OWN a TV!”
somehow, somewhere, someone feels victimized by these facts.
I mean, I guess that’s going to be a problem for anyone who isn’t reading the headline, nor looking at the image, nor reading the first, third and second-to-last paragraph.
For this I will refer you to my comment on previous coverage:
I’d say that’s very much by design, i.e., put the real name on the real monster, Marilyn Manson is character, a cartoon, this is some criminal behavior perpetrated by Brian Warner.
In the very first sentence the article establishes that Marilyn Manson is in fact Brian Warner. Marilyn Manson is a fictional persona. Brian Warner allegedly committed these crimes. Therefore it is important to strip away the celebrity façade and reinforce the fact that it wasn’t an act. It wasn’t part of a show. …
