You must’ve forgotten that review aggregation sites exist - critics are certainly divided on this film, but they are not “generally” panning it - about half of them totally loved it and half hated it.

Whaaaat? I think you must’ve accidentally rewatched Reloaded instead of Resurrections. I rewatched the original trilogy immediately before watching Rez, and the second movie doesn’t have a single moment of authentic character development. Everyone is wooden and terrible in it, and the third movie is barely better in…
I love it, and I really have never read it as “corny.” It’s a delight through-and-through.
What’s wrong with Marshall? Jason Segel is undeniably a bit of a scumbag, but I never thought his character was awful, especially compared with everyone else on the show.
Citations needed. Hike up your diaper, angry child.
It’s true, that statement was slightly inaccurate: ALL Trump supporters are racist. Voting for an avowed racist is, itself, a racist act.
I agree 110 is way too much. 5-10 years doesn’t seem out of the question based on what he did, though. Probation only doesn’t seem appropriate.
No time at all, when he could’ve swerved off the road and admits he made a conscious choice to crash into people instead? I don’t know about that.
“Extreme indifference” is probably because he rejected a solution which would risk his health (driving the truck off the road and risking rolling it) and instead chose something that was almost certain to kill other people while keeping him safe.
You’re ignoring his third choice, which was by far the best option: pointing the truck off the road and risking rolling it. He rejected it over the *possibility* that it might roll, and instead chose an option that was *certain* to cause injury and likely to cause death.
If we’re talking about single-author works, then I’m much more willing to let your argument about creative empathy rule my reaction.
God forbid you have to ever even glance at something that doesn’t suit your personal aesthetic preferences. Would you like a blankey and a pacificier, too?
Wow, you truly are a massive crybaby. You are way, waaaay too invested in your own opinions. Put on your big-boy pants and change the channel, son. Or come up with an actual critique instead of a bunch of unsupported whining.
Whaaaat! That’s psycho. I’m troubled by this!
So your contention is that right now, no one is on the watch for dangerous CMEs? Because I think that’s demonstrably false. There are lots of early warning systems in place for extraterrestrial threats to the planet. And I’m not aware of any of them raising a false alarm for a CME.
Yeah, if the grid goes down, conspiracy theorists will definitely NOT freak out at all. You really thought this one through.
Uh... when was the last Carrington Event “false alarm”? I’ve never heard of one happening.
Wait, what? Why would there be such a massive margin of error for the distance to such a nearby star?
Yeah, I mean... I’d have some questions for sure.
It’s interesting that it’s framed not as “someone who is a Democrat/Republican” but “someone who voted for the opposing presidential candidate.” I could definitely try to be friends with a Republican who didn’t vote for Trump. But definitely NOT with anyone who voted for Trump, no matter their party affiliation.
