Actually it goes back to the fact that when they came out, they initially became popular around the European continent. Particularly in France, but not just there. Anyway the Brits long considered that anything the French liked, was something they could do without! And Americans back then were far more likely to take

Personally, I’m not sure how much better is it over paper.”

I assumed they were referring to your combined 401(k) balances. And it should also include any IRA balances.

Nobody was ever shamed into hiding Christmas. “Happy Holidays” was a traditional greeting for Christians because the holiday season was a lot more than just Christmas day. You might want to try looking up Christmastide, aka The 12 Days of Christmas, which runs from Christmas day to the Epiphany. At least in the

Exactly! She barely made an impression on him at the hospital. Not how it would be if he had actually asked her to kill her father. Besides, why would you ask a nurse to kill a patient unless you knew she was into that sort of thing anyway.

That’s because this article is wrong. At the time Thanksgiving was being celebrated on the last Thursday of November. In 1939 that meant it would fall on November 30, the fifth Thursday in November. At the time it was just not done to start promoting Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving, so the retailers were afraid

Republican men want to fuck her”

I believe the UK has a similar thing with their citizenship. If you have a parent or a grandparent who was a citizen, you can get fast-tracked.

I wonder when exactly we lost the distinction between ‘civic’ and ‘political’

That sweet little old lady is the hero we need!

I know they also include chicken skin in many brands of chicken nuggets. It adds flavor and moisture, especially it they are using only, or mainly, white meat in the nuggets.

I stopped getting their shakes back when they changed to their current shakes.

Someone else already mentioned Session 9, but I’d also like to recommend a 2001 movie called Frailty that I thought was very underrated. It was directed by, and starred, the late Bill Paxton (still hard to believe he’s dead). It also stars Matthew McConaughey and Powers Boothe.

Reese’s Sticks are excellent frozen. If you’ve never tried them, they are like Kit Kat bars, but with Reese’s peanut butter between the wafers, instead of caramel.

That’s the argument for term life insurance over whole (or permanent) life insurance. The premiums on term life are so much lower that you’re better off taking a term policy for 20-30 year when you are young, to cover you and your spouse until your kids are out on their own, and investing the difference. Or split it

It would be one of those things that makes you wonder, “What the hell is wrong with Americans?” And I’m sure there’s no shortage of those things!

I suspect he might be talking about how the rollover screwed up his plan for doing backdoor Roth conversions. Now he can no longer put after-tax money into a traditional IRA and then convert it to a Roth without paying additional tax. Instead the pro-rata rule would apply.

Does your current 401(k) (or other qualified employer plan) allow incoming rollovers from IRAs? If so, you can move that money out your IRAs to clear the way for cleaner conversions.

I was going to say the exact same thing. All the references to IRAs had to do with contributing to them, not to whether or not you should roll over to an IRA. And there can be positives and negatives.

What I’m concerned about is that they will try to use this to Trump’s advantage. Most legal experts say a president can’t pardon himself for crimes he committed. Although Trump has claimed that “many people are saying” that he can. But I don’t really think he wants to risk the courts overturning his self-pardons.
