You talk as if opening up a manufacturing plant is easy and cheap. It’s neither. The initial costs can be staggering and even then these are highly automated plants that wouldn’t bring that many jobs. Furthermore, if tariffs were increased nothing prevents these companies from just passing the costs onto the consumer.
