...wait... who makes the Stinger GT that everyone loves so much?
I’ve come back to this article just to look at these pics again like 3 times.
i love it so much it hurts sometimes.
Im not a fan of war mongering nationalisn, but even I had a huge problem with him saying “he’s a war hero or whatever” with clear and intentioned nonchalance. The man fought for his country and was rewarded with a grievous injury. Mock his policies, mock his party, and even make jokes about his appearance.... But…
Wait... Who wonders that?
Yay for science journalism! Boo for trolls.
This is a good take. Sounds like your co-workers dont see your wisdom, so next time one of them is showing you something on their computer just reach over and touch their screen.
I just dont want my (bike) drivetrain or brakes getting knocked around. Scuffs are fine, but throwing a heap of bikes in the back of a pickup is a recipe for a bent rotor, etc.
That the shop had screwed up the entire inspection, and read me the wrong carfax over the phone. I ended up with a truck with unknown mileage, 2 minor accidents, a pinion bearing on the way out, a shot front inner axle seal, an exploded u-joint, and a leaking radiator. Also the head gasket is leaking a bit.
WAIT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
A great story, and great to hear. I hope movements like this help spread automotive enthusiasm in all forms (weekend driving, driveway wrenching, motorsport viewing) to all people.
Haha I’m actually a Biochemisty by training, so “chemicals!!!” dont scare me too much. I actually looked up the mech of ZnOxide, and it does absorb pretty well in addition to reflecting. From my 20 min of research, the ZnOxide sunscreens that rub in without looking pasty seem to be made with very small nanoparticles…
I definitely appreciate the Zn Oxide based screens, but I have a feeling in order for those screens to work correctly you’re going to have to sacrifice a bit on the “pasty” look. Since it’s a physical block, it’s actually reflecting light. So if you dont look a little pale you probably don’t have enough on. Think…
Also, I’m sure having a good garage space would help. I’ve be wrenching on an FZJ80 in my driveway, in Colorado, through the winter.... it’s been fun, but also cold, and frustrating when it’s too windy, and tough when it gets dark early, and cold.... mostly the cold thing.
Man, I grew up in Palo Alto, so the Cal Train reference brought up memories of two GTs of the same generation I used to bike past all the time (on the way to school, downtown, friends houses). I thought they were so gorgeous, even though they were pretty beat up, and have always wanted one. So sorry for your loss, and…
second on the ‘mud vote. They’ve got lots of stuff there. I was an idiot and didnt check the classifieds there. I got one off FB. Thought I got a good deal until I saw what partially built-out ones were going for on mud. ALSO if you want it to be “affordable” you better be willing to wrench on it yourself. (not hard,…
Also every time I see a 60 or an 80 my brain is like “woooh! hey buuudddyyy,” but every time I see a 200 I’m like “hmmm by the time I could afford that I wouldnt want one.” I wonder if 200s will be all ARBed out 20 years from now. Assuming we’re still allowed to drive our own cars on city streets in 20 years.
If they only sold 3,100 of them, 80% must be here around the Colorado front range. I have an FZJ80 (currently with it’s intake system chilling 20 ft away from it in the garage), and see 80's, 100's, and 200's all over the place.
This article could also be titled “Bring Back Colors.”
Just in case anyone was curious, here is the actual question from the study about slavery being the central cause. In context, 8% isnt so surprising for a multiple choice question with so many reasonable sounding answers, in a political climate where people have been told “states rights” is a reasonable answer:
