Variety and TVLine are both good.

Garry Shandling was hilarious in the Warren Beatty/Annette Bening "Love Affair", in a role as a business manager who wasn't a long way from being Larry Sanders. In the Thirties, he'd have probably popped up in several Astaire/Rogers musicals, and in the Forties, he'd have probably livened up some odd corners of

The laserdisc of "Matinee" came with a second disc containing all of the "Mant!" footage edited together in sequence. It was a nice touch, and it's too bad they didn't put it on the DVD. Surely someone has posted that footage to YouTube?

I think Penn's movie-watching club would softly hiss "Yessss" whenever the title of the movie was spoken. We do that in my home to this day.

Opening song of the Serious Moonlight stadium tour, so it's not that lesser-known.

Life Spring was an actual EST-type thing back in the mid-70's. Several of my musician friends here in Vancouver got involved in it for awhile at the behest of their management team, who wanted to keep them motivated playing bars across Western Canada 50 weeks a year. It didn't take. I'm really enjoying that "Fargo" is

Beautiful last four paragraphs. That's "Mad Men" in a nutshell. Well done.

Jim Hobart's own name isn't part of "McCann-Erickson". Equivalently, I think he's sincerely happy for the success of the Sterling Cooper partners. What's in a name?

You can't put cheap molded 3-D plastic Simpsons character images that make the DVD season box sets impossible to stand on a shelf or even line up properly ON A DOWNLOAD!!!

Just the cardboard frame was lime green. The lenses resembled normal 3-D lenses, except they weren't. No explanation was given. The audience was deeply confused. Genius.

I still have the lime-green "UHF" 3-D glasses that they gave out at the sneak preview. "UHF" wasn't in 3-D.

Here's another Canadian FX anomaly; FX Canada showed the first episode of "Fargo" and no other episodes, as if it was a TV movie. I didn't see the other episodes of the series until the Blu-Ray came out. See what having universal health care and gun control does to a country?

I don't know if you Americans are aware of this, but in Canada each new Tuesday night episode of "Justified" airs one week after it airs in the States. That's right: tonight's Canadian episode was last week's American episode (it was the same during the previous season). Would you be so kind as to precede your entire

"Boys Keep Swinging", from David Bowie's "Lodger", has the same chords and structure as "Fantastic Voyage", the opening track of "Lodger". You can sing the lyrics and melody of either song over either song's backing track (and Bowie did). Should Bowie sue himself?
