Note: All of those weights and distances and such are for pulling something straight up into the air. i.e, your 50 hp beetle can lift the big rig 100 feet in the air in one minute. That's much harder than pulling it 100 feet along the ground.

GPS guided missiles have been around for many, many years. Car GPS systems generally aren't capable of broadcasting your location. There are exceptions, such as OnStar. Or your cell phone, which can be tracked extremely easily.
If the train was going 120mph, it was pretty close to the speed of the plane crash. No train I've ever been on has had seatbelts. That includes Amtrak's high speed-ish Acela.
False! The driver's facebook posts were far from mature, but they didn't show him speeding. Most of the track has a much higher speed limit.
"Sure, it's just a Prius" Looks like a Lexus crossovermajig to me...
What's a klaxon?
Yeah, I think Jalopnik just broke speedlist.
They have crazy massive side mirrors which help compensate for the lack of rear view mirror.
Personally, I wouldn't buy a Grand National for 10k. That's a lotta dough for a 26 year old buick. Others on here seem to disagree.
I've been vindicated!
Re. not finding it when packing the car: He lives in the US, works in Mexico, so he was probably only there for the day. I don't open the trunk of my car when I'm driving to/from the office.
"Herp Derp" -Me
So wait, the drug smugglers are smuggling drugs into Mexico? I thought that was the opposite of what they usually do.
Hahaha, that's awesome. But how on earth does it not melt or burn?
Perhaps it was a souped-up GLI (Basically a GTI sedan)?
I actually considered getting one a couple of years ago. Couldn't find one nearby with the 5 speed swap though.
If you give them your phone, they can check pretty easily if you've been texting. Not sure what the legality of that is, though.
No need to get all douchey in your opening sentence, I'm just trying to have a reasonable discussion.
Are you saying that fiddling with a calculator or GPS app is less distracting than texting? If so, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I've fiddled with my standalone GPS while driving before, and it makes me extremely uncomfortable, so I've stopped doing it. To be fair, it also depends on road and traffic…
Assuming reasonable traffic, a 300 mile journey is probably faster by car, because of airport security and all that jazz.
