I agree with you on this being nothing new, with zipguns and such being so easy to make.

You can go to any hardware store and make a more reliable home made single shot gun for far less cost than even the raw ABS that would go into printing this, let alone the cost of a decent 3D printer.
As the article said, durability isn't the only factor in tire selection. You've also gotta consider traction under various conditions, the amount of road noise from the tires, etc. I don't know what the tires were that you were looking at, but I'd bet that there's a substantial difference somewhere other than…

How about they take his Expedition and his money, and get him a LeBaron? Then everyone's happy.
$48K, for a 20 year old M3? You can probably get a 3 year old M3 for that money. Or 2 V6 mustangs. That's among the crackiest of pipes I've ever seen on here.

I graduated from college about a year ago with a bachelor's in mechanical engineering. My GPA wasn't especially strong.
If I were in the market for a souped-up van that's trying to look like a lambo and is entirely useless for the sorts of things vans are usually used for, it would be a nice price.

Other than your frustration with the keys getting locked in the hatch, how do you like the focus? I've had a couple of them as rentals from Enterprise, and I've found them to be excellent. Would've bought one, except it was lacking backseat space and AWD (went with an Impreza instead).
