Okay, so Luke Skywalker turns out to be Ralph Bellamy. In a love story, somebody has to be Ralph Bellamy, darn it!

If it’s possible to use gravitational power to run a civilization, and if that use can be detected from here, then...yes, it can. (I’ve got my fingers crossed on this one, too.)

All I really care about: Can it find aliens!??!?

It verifies a further pillar of general relativity. From which we’ve derived such applications as nuclear weapons/power, various radiation treatments in medicine, and advances in computer technology.

honestly WHAT ARE THE CHANCES they finally found another use for this wig

Yep, I fixed it.

To me, if anything, validates theories based on theoretical sciences. The fact that this was theorized 100 years ago, and was proven to exist, is HUGE. It could also prove that we are on the right track to understanding the universe.

Makes sense. I do have a history with Deadpool, but I feel like the only ads I’ve seen are ones I’ve opted to see— none on television, etc. I may be watching the wrong channels, though. Food Network doesn’t seem like much of a Deadpool haven.

Yes, that’s a good point. Probably because I’ve a history with Star Wars and haven’t one with Deadpool.

Copyediting: “Studying the amplitude told them the collision happened some 1.3 light years away in the southern hemisphere.” — Should that be 1.3 billion?

I would fact check that “1.3 light years away” because if there were 2 black holes collapsing only 1.3 light years away I think there would be far more fireworks in the night sky and far less life on Earth.

I’ve seen a lot of people saying this, but no one had anything to say about Star Wars, which is interesting. Every other ad was Star Wars-themed... cars... makeup... local news stations... nnnngh.

I was intrigued by the idea of the Deadpool movie, though I’ve never read one of the stories and I’m not in the target audience, but the non-stop ads have overkilled any interest I had in this film. Pity.

I don’t think they’re being sued they way sue happy USA does it.

I feel a great disturbance in the force, as if a million Ambulance chasers cried out in Joy at the same time.

For those wondering why this is happening it’s because by law all instances of Health and Safety violations should be investigated. It’s not like in the US where it’s largely the victim’s responsibility to sue but rather making sure all play ball with the law so that no one else breaks it.

Did you miss the part in the article where a spokesperson for the Health and Safety Executive explained exactly why they’re suing?

Because, they have a responsibility to ensure the safety of everyone on the set...and they failed miserably. No different than if someone was injured at a factory. If they were negligent, they broke the law.
