I stayed up till 12 just because David Byrne was on. Holy goddamn Jesus was it worth it. Best musical guest for at least the season, maybe longer. Completely worth it. The highlight was black history month, oh my god that boxer went dressed as THAT? How did I miss that.  Side note the nazis name was Rolf.  I've seen

Meh. David Byrne is just stealing Rich Hall's bit.

What kind of twisted madman doesn’t like John Mulaney? In all seriousness, you didn’t even find his bit about the army knocking on people’s door and asking to live at their house funny?

Wow, they also got top notch musical guests, David Byrne and the Weeknd,

Mulaney should be SNL’s new Buck Henry.

Murphy nearly single-handedly saved SNL when he was fucking nineteen years old.  He wasn’t “given” shit.

Cosby thought he was the best of “the good ones.”He had decades worth of getting away with it to make him think he was untouchable. Plus he made it a mission for himself to go around winning white accolades by preaching respectability politics. All while secretly being a monster.

“One would think that Mr. Murphy was given his freedom to leave the plantation so that he could make his own decisions...”

No.

Only most people.

I thoroughly enjoyed the show, and it’s the first time I’ve done so for an SNL in years. I was almost nervous for Murphy in the beginning. I thought this might turn out like one of Michael Jordan’s later comebacks, where you wish your heroes had just stayed memories.

I still love Saturday Night Life

“Girl, they dead!”

Agreed. I’m just glad he’s absolutely swimming in Walmart money. He deserves every dime of it. I love how tight he and Eddie are, too. You can see how close they are just by seeing them in the same room together. He’s still funny as all hell, too, so that helps. Love my Tracy.

Call me cynical, but I can’t help but think Eddie is trying to prove he’s a fun, nice guy who will be the life of the party at a potential awards show hoping to drum up support for Dolemite after the bad press for his Dreamgirls behavior...

Pete Davidson reminds me of how grateful I am that I was never famous. When I was on all my benders nobody missed me and I had a great time.

Murphy’s still got it! He showed that, if he cared to, he could return to the cast and still rock every Saturday night.

I want the James Brown Hot Tub/What’s Up With That crossover, The ‘Infinity War’ of SNL.

The only downside about this episode is that I wish that Eddie Murphy returned earlier so we could’ve got a sketch involving him and Jay Pharaoh.

I had my fingers crossed for James Brown’s Celebrity Hot Tub with special guest Dr. Joyce Brothers, but yeah, that was pretty damn great. Always nice to see Ed again no matter what he’s doing, but to see him on SNL again with this much energy... man, that’s not something that happens every day. If he’s this fired up
