The only good raghead is a dead raghead, right?

‘72 TR6. When I was doing some electrical updating, I bypassed the stupid floor button by repurposing the overdrive steering column stalk as a hi/lo switch (installed an overdrive switch on the shifter knob)
Rat- “I never really liked that ship - even before it started sinking”
(Laces up boots in preparation)
No question!
Unique in my mind is the central headlight beneath the grille. Not many cars have been designed with such a layout (early Tatras among the ones that were)
The original came with a very fit butler who ran alongside, carrying one’s beverage. One simply reached out the window when one was thirsty.
My ‘72 Triumph has a floor-mounted Hi/Lo button, tucked in beside the clutch pedal - an awful feature
For sale - perfectly intact Corvette C8 motor
My Triumph has an ignition kill switch, which disconnects the low voltage connection to the coil. It also has a master battery disconnect switch. It also has a decent size fire extinguisher. All 3 readily accessible from the drivers seat. Overkill, maybe - but anywhere where gasoline and electricity play together…
PA has Intercourse
Granted, hindsight is 20/20, but I imagine the driver could’ve engaged the emergency brake then stalled the thing out? Assuming of course that it didn’t have an electronic E-brake that was also scuppered by thefire
Let Freedum Ring!!!!!
Hoo came up with that one?
That’s evac time - involves a shit ton of Metamucil and some serious straining in the golden throne - this is what happens when you live on a roughage-free diet
“Working”
He must’ve been out of his shell when it happened.
Why the larger discs at the rear? The front usually gets the beefier braking
The timing for my last post is unfortunate. After the Outback started misfiring the other day, the verdict came back from the garage - head gasket gone, with a repair estimate of $4400. I think we’re done, although I thought we’d have a few more years :-(
My daily is an ‘02 outback 5MT with ~170k. Slow as shit, rusty is spots and getting to the age where things are starting to go and every repair job includes at least one “is it worth growing more money at this?” moment, but l love this car, so I persist in keeping it on the road. I know a replacement is inevitable one…
