Um… am I mistaken, or did this article— about the Very Special Episode trope being the basis of an entire series— not mention "Strangers with Candy" even once?

So, I was genuinely moved by the ending of this. Like, to-tears moved. This isn't what we had discussed, Documentary Now!. I will take a partial refund, please— in the form of gin on the rocks. And I want the rocks made out of Skittles.

Aeon Flux. (Trevor Goodchild is a pretty great one, too.)

Although Lenny Briscoe is considered L&O's resident zing-master (and rightfully so), Adam Schiff lowkey had jokes on jokes on jokes, most of which were devastatingly sharp and dry. It was a great performance.

I'm not sure why A.A. was so invested in disparaging the original in order to compliment the remake (the former was, among other things, a financial success). I loved OG "Pete's Dragon," as do many others I know.

It better the fuck not cuz I can turn this entire place to ashes I don't care

What I wouldn't give for some potassium benzoate right about now…

S'Kyaaa.

Totally! Been doing it since elementary school (I'm in my early 30's). It's, like, my favorite hobby.

I didn't think this episode was terrible, but I do feel like the execution of Julian's… execution was terribly lazy. It underscores one of my major issues with the season: the dissonance between how the core characters cowered before the Heretics', and the latter group's actual lack of impressiveness.

I'm so tired of this show thinking that a British accent is enough to make a villain compelling.

"Avengers" and "Roger Rabbit" are good analogies. But, also? "Cartoon All-Stars to the [motherf#ckin] Rescue!"

2. You know what, Leith? Respect. You have managed to stay on this show in spite of never having been anything but totally superfluous. Neither Narcisse, Francis, nor even Bash hold that distinction (they were all relevant at *some*

People should never not be punching Dan. Forever.

I loved (love) Gossip Girl like I've loved few other things on this planet, and the reveal of Gossip Girl's identity— and the nonsensical lack of fallout— felt like a very painful personal betrayal. It was a long time before I was able to regard the show with anything resembling fondness after that. Rather, it was a

Thank God for Jost and Weekend Update! After "The Wiz" was so spectacular, I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to hate-watch anything on NBC for the rest of this week.

No, no— not at all.
You raised some very fair and valid concerns, and the spectrum of representation is always a conversation worth having. I’m
just glad you gave the comic a chance.
P.S.: I think Bitty’s baking philia also has some interesting psychological implications; he loves it, yes, but he also uses it as a

I think there is literally a 0% chance of that happening.

That's pretty reductive and presumptuous there, bud. In other words, That's So Internet!

I'm also a gay man, and I identify with a lot of what you're saying. As a huge fan of this comic, I can honestly say that most, though probably not all, of your fears would be allayed. The protagonist's sexuality, while important (he comes out while there in college), is hardly his defining characteristic. Yes, he
