Why do the rules of crafting sound logical arguments not apply to Reich? If we (progressives) don’t hold our pundits to high logical standards, we lose the right to hold conservative pundits to those same standards. We lose all superiority, and “both sides do it” becomes true. I won’t have that. We’re better than that.

I have too much respect for the guy to tell him how to build a persuasive essay, or tell him what a circular argument is. He knows! He was just too lazy to make this list look universal instead of targeted. 

Why couldn’t Reich have used links to prove that these were all warning signs of previous tyrranical regimes, instead of or in addition to linking to proof that Trump does them? He crafted the list specifically to discredit Trump, and that discredits his list.

Respect has to be earned by women, apparently. Yet being a great Secretary of State isn’t enough.
