Depending on where you live the winter diesel is different (I think it’s anti freezing additives / cut) and I’m pretty sure it’s been proven to be slightly less efficient...
I take it you never have to pull anything, definitely has its pros & cons and while I’d definitely drive one I don’t get the appeal in a small car...trucks / equipment / etc it definitely makes sense though (longevity / durability / etc).
Had a mid 80s diesel Oldsmobile that was an awesome piece of shit, would pour out a diesel smokescreen every time you got on the pedal & had a built in cb...paid $500 & got about 6 months out of it (& a crash course on diesel repair / troubleshooting lol)
