I hope they do not abandon it. While I only really found it useful for two things (planning a snowboarding trip and maintaining a list of good bands) the potential is huge.

I definitely want this. I long for the day I no longer have to carry any wallet or cash. My phone should store my id, credit cards, store discount cards, gift cards, medical insurance card, etc...

I am pretty sure it is illegal to use such a device.... not only would it be unlicensed to broadcast, it is stealing data and potentially intercepting emergency calls.... right?
