Chip and PIN here in Canada, and some banks and gas station companies give you a 3 cent discount on debit.

The birthing plan makes sense only because the staff is going to be a stranger to you on the big day. They’re going to run with what they want to do not necessarily what you want.

Meanwhile I have a Costco membership solely so I could buy the 1,000 load pail of laundry detergent.

I interviewed at one place and I asked right away where the role was because I would be limited to public transit and their one locations would require a 90 commute each way.

rear window louvers - that’s the Supra I want (remember)

Driving to my job in the work van at 6:00 am on the highway and I’m still not fully awake when I see the undercarriage of a car in the air doing a barrel roll about 10 car lengths in front of me.

This is why you design proper hot backup sites, do monthly testing and have more than enough generator capacity.

this doesn’t surprise me - Cream soups are the tricks of any number of recipes. Usually it’s cream of chicken which has almost no flavour. You’re kinda getting a roux/cream sauce with the addition.

with the parties starting at 4ish the place was a lot less busy at 2 pm then a typical Sunday, lines were one deep, food bar was only 6 deep etc.

Costco will be empty, at least that’s the plan for Sunday’s shopping.

if I was going to get something it would be used but reliable and with low running costs. A RAV4 or a CRV would be a good choice.  My kid’s girlfriend is a 90 minute highway drive away, no way I’d get something that wasn’t reliable or safe.

don’t forget kids, if I had a teen that needed their own car, a Kia is much more likely then anything German.

They have remote control mining haulers for a while. Driver is there for the hard parts, the computer drives the simple sections where there’s little to do.

For my family it would be easy to get citizenship and work permits for Italy. But what do you do while living in a little town assuming you can’t just be 100% work at home in a spot where you’re not going to be able to have extremely high speed internet?

this is one of the main reasons I try to avoid pre-authorized charges.  It’s so much easier to deal with companies when you owe them money not when they owe you.

That’s my question are they comfortable over a whole day. My wife wears tights everyday to work (except in the summer) and I’ve taken to just buying AliExpress cheapies in bulk.

I buy laundry detergent there once every two years. The 35 lbs tub lasts 1,000 loads.

When I looked into them the bowl lift ones were taller and they would not fit under my cabinets. I went with the flip top for that reason.

I bought mine at Walmart for $230 Canadian. It’s the Ultra Power version (so only basic colours) but it works just fine for me.

i was chiming in on tiny skillet uses beyond a wee frypan. I use ours (we have four) as a gratin dish far more often then on the stove.
