I do get what you mean, however it seems that everyone loves to bitch about anything google related these days just to be on the bandwagon regardless of what's going on. Some sites require Facebook logins to access more features or even just to use the site. I've seen it on a few, yet never saw anyone complain. A lot of this just seems to come across as "Facebook can do no wrong, and everything else is evil" when it comes to the comments left on articles like these.
