I normally float around XDA's site for things like this, as they are an awesome resource. Glad to see they weren't left out of the article. I realize LifeHacker is about many things, but I like seeing techie articles like these, as I enjoy the insight from those working at LH.

That looks like a computer I worked on last weekend, except the one I was fixing had about 3x the dust in it.

It's all a matter of fit and finish. to some it's no big deal, to others, having the fasteners visible makes the car appear to still be rough around the edges and in need of more work to finish off the body so that it doesn't look cobbled together. *shrug* I don't really care as I don't pay much attention to them on…

But are they as heavy as the American counterparts? Not saying your point has no merit, as it certainly does have a good point. It's just impressive if it was a US vehicle as the cars are rather large and heavy and don't get more than 35 MPG very easily unless it's a hybrid or very very small (like a Smart ForTwo)
