E.) Are absolutely incredible when used correctly, and should never be used on the street.
Bullshit. The EV1 could do 100 miles on a charge twenty years ago. Many of the first car speed records were set by electric cars in the late 1800s. Tons of electric cars were built and used in the early days BECAUSE they were so viable back then. Then internal combustion took off and the electric car was relegated to…
Like many expensive cars, their owners like to show off in them. But I feel like it’s probably easier to drive and less hassle than most cars in that $1m+ club. Also they made more of them than most of those other cars. I don’t have the exact numbers, but there are probably only like 200 Koenigseggs and Paganis each…
I like trucks for their capabilities of beasts of burden, but deep down I have a perverse affinity to ridiculously powerful vehicles that have no rational reason for being ridiculously powerful.
But ... it wasn’t and was NOWHERE on the horizon before Tesla, whereas we had a number of >200MPH hypercars. Besides, exactly what part of “electric car history” portended the Model S? Furthermore, what Tesla has developed has much more potential to influence regular workaday cars than the Veyron. Already we have not…
I know...it's like....I...I gotta have one.
There is absolutely no reason in the world to put this much power into a pickup truck.
To be fair, that's a massive drop. That'd break anything.
I cringe at the recent misappropriation of the term “analog” - but even if one goes with the definition “lacking in modern driver’s aids” I don’t see how it makes the F1 more impressive. It is not famous for having hugely accessible performance or for being forgiving at the limit.
If you know electric car history its not that impressive, it really should have been here much sooner.

(in my opinion) the F1 looks purposeful, high-tech and sleek. The Veyron by comparison looks flamboyant, gaudy and cheap. They’re both incredible examples of engineering, but the F1 folks really nailed the styling too.
No it’s not. The Tesla Model S is. Think about it, before both cars existed, what would you have been more surpised about, a >$1MM hypercar capable of over 250MPH or an electric luxury sedan capable of a 3.2 secong sprint to 60MPH and a 200 mile range for ~$100K?
there are only 450? i feel like i see too many of these for that to be true.

I think that’s a Lambo, dude.
