Ok, this is right in my wheelhouse. I made my living this way for several years.

@wickedcupofjoe: If you didn't amend the soil properly before the sod, fail. It's the soil, not the grass or the sod. It takes at least 6 months for the lime to be of any use to the plants, so if you put the lime down just before the sod, you just wasted 150 sq. ft. of sod. Core aerate it at least twice a year

I take each regular monthly bill and divide it by 4 then pay that amount each week with autopay. It really smooths out the cashflow and seems to leave more $$$ at the end of each week. I began by overpaying a little bit each week just to build up a little cushion and it has worked beautifully.

@pomj: Prior to the update, you couldn't erase the bookmarks from Docs. I haven't tried since the update, but re-syncing couldn't hurt.

@pomj: Since they made their changes, this just hasn't been a problem for me. The updates cascade through almost immediately from one of my machines to another. I guess you just need to make sure that all of your machines are synced to the same account. Are you using Chrome?

Discipline and persistence together, and there isn't much that can't be accomplished.

I have to haul my own garbage, so the freezer thing has been in my arsenal for a while. Those pads in the bottom of raw chicken packages get smelly pretty quickly if you don't freeze them.

The recent changes to Google Bookmark have been a big improvement, though I know some people don't like the look of it. Functionality, though, is excellent.

@Unionhawk: You and me both. Eh, guess I need to dump a few Chrome extensions.

@curtis07: I understand why you like it. My original comment was based on my experience with my own college student, who has zero interest in it.

@HalLumos: After a cold shower, blood will flow to the skin surface and your body starts working to raise your body temp. After a hot shower, your body cools. The key, though, is to cool off in the bed, not while walking around.

@headclone: Wake up on the dot by waking up at the same time every day. Yes, even on the weekends.

@HalLumos: Well, I use the note-taking feature to document when I talked to someone and what we talked about. You could group all your potential callbacks a la GTD in the Contacts area. Plus, it provides a single point of contact for potential employers to call; with Voice, you will not miss the call with the offer!

I love Voice, but this has fail written all over it. I have a college student sitting at the kitchen table in the other room and if it isn't a text message to her cellphone or on the damn Facebook, it doesn't get to her.

"Wear pants." Heh.

Dipped a toe in the water there a couple of years ago just to see what all the fuss was about. I looked around and deleted the account. As long as FB is run by an amoral, 25 year old d———bag and other corporate clones who take the position that by signing up I am signing over my privacy rights to them to do with as

OK, here's an idea. Interview a random, recent college graduate who is engaged in a job search and slap some Lifehackery on them to help them be more effective.

I have a '99 Honda Accord with 350,000 miles on it that I just gave to my daughter. The second mechanic in less than a month has told me that it is good for another 350,000 miles.

@AndyMan1: At worst, cat is killed. At best, you create another feral kitty.
