I was on tour with an orchestra about 6 years after the Mexico City earthquake of 1985 and remember being horrified by the MASSIVE piles of rubble/ buildings that were still all over the place. They had started to rebuild, but the amount of devastation still laying around was powerful.

I hung out with a friend who had the privilege of petting Stubbs- closest to fame I’ve ever been. I felt giddy.
