Boring is better than how my voice often sounds to me, so I'll take that jibe with gladness.

Go wank off to Soderbergh again, jackass. *runs away crying*

Damn straight. *winks and wriggles, sensually*

How do I sound?

I had a feeling that would please you. And I didn't make Doc do it either!

That shouldn't be an issue, given my general rectitude.

Poe usually gets the credit, but I see your point. Vidocq is certainly one of the more colorful historical figures.

Wow, they weren't kidding, the French really, really love crime/cop shows. Which isn't all that surprising given the type of American movies/literature they loved. Person of Interest is definitely well appreciated by them, which is quite nice.

I like the Jews in particular.

Yep! He's great.

It's extremely dense and referential, so re-listens are definitely helpful. Luckily, I find the lyrics themselves actually fairly clear and easy to make out on the recording, so it's more a matter of absorbing it all than having to read along with it. For me at least.

I'm not sure if it's my personal fave, but it is kind of definitive of what the musical is reaching for. Certainly what hooked me when I first listened. Probably the most impressive Hamilton himself is, even, throughout the work, given the way his verses convey his inability to stop speaking.

Yeah, "My Shot" is one of the biggest rap showcases on the album what with its intricate and lengthy voices and yet the chorus is far more in the Broadway mode. The composite tracks tend to be the ones where the most excitement and drama is going down at once, I think.

Yeah, there are actually a deceptive amount of musical styles woven in and employed, including some fairly traditional broadway stuff snuck into otherwise straightforward hip hop tracks. Yet somehow it all seems to jive,at least for the most part. Part of me finds it even more sonically interesting than it is

Santa Gussie!

one of us, one of us, one of us

I was actually kind of iffy on the concept because it sounded potentially corny, but I was surprised by how authentic it felt as a piece of rap music, among the many other things it is.

I saw that season after listening to Hamilton and it sure made his obsession with the American Revolution funnier. And made his character even more sympathetic than I would have found him otherwise. He should have sung!

I WASN'T SUGGESTING OTHERWISE YOU FOOLISH MAN

IT'S A MUSICAL?!?!?!
