For some reason I can't imagine, I don't own the Rock on Criterion LaserDisc!

THAT WAS A MICHAEL BAY AD?!?!?!?!?!?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The guy who plays Burr in the musical did a shot for shot recreation of that ad!

Hamilton winds up resorting to dirty tactics to ruin Burr's box office. The star of Burr, his career ruined, walks into the next theater and shoots Hamilton on stage.

I'm sorry to hear that. I wish him a speedy recovery, if at all possible.

Now that Hamilton is a hit broadway smash, I imagine a musical adaptation of Vidal's Burr is not far behind.

I think it was comparatively easy to sympathize with him until he actually pulled the trigger on the whole family, and particularly him holding the gun to Blunt's head directly after telling her he reminded him of his daughter.

Yeah, when people say it's confusing they mean the show doesn't explain everything to you right from the beginning, but I always felt like I understood everything I was meant to understand at the point in the show I was watching.

I will admit that I actually felt like chuckling a bit that not only was *SPOILERS* his wife decapitated, his daughter was thrown into a vat of acid*END SPOILERS*, because surely the first murder wasn't motivation enough!

If nothing else, I helped confuse Narrator, and I can be proud of that.

I gave a halfhearted defense of the Revenge aspect above, but it's introduction into the film was bizarrely handled to say the least.

I liked the film's pacing and visual tone, along with most of the performances, but the plotting was a bit all over the place. The revenge aspect did interest me in a bit in initially making you somewhat sympathetic to the character again before they pull back and give you a sense of his true monstrosity.

The wolves line was not good.

I just saw it. I'm not quite sure what to think…B+? That was rather good, if not what I was expecting exactly.

Happy birthday to all my comrades!

It doesn't work! They just keep grafting in new members.

Well, Alison's the one engaged to a dead man…

But I'm so fly!

Yeah, I figured it would be hard to wipe out an entire royal line all at one time.

Who are their closest relatives?
