The shop I work at now doesn’t care how long it takes to complete a job, just get it done right the first time. My hours are long, I’ve spent way to much money on tools, and these modern European cars are more computer than car. I got into the industry because as a kid I loved the visceral experience a well sorted

Funny story, I’ve actually done blow off a slant nose Porsche. Probably top 5 moments in my life

Didn’t realize it was “meh” car Monday already

Not the interior

I want an MKIV bad tho

I mean, yeah. Check engine light has been on in my Mustang for two years now, I know what it is, the engine will live. Or my friends Fusion that sounds like someone is beating the floor of the car with a bat every six minutes when you go over 65. Been a year like that with no real issues

There’s a maintenance schedule that you need to be on top of. Routine inspections every 6 months will keep you off the back of a tow truck. Don’t ignore anything! If a noise pops up or you feel something weird look into the problem. We’ve got an 07 X3 with a shot transfer case because the owner ignored the 4x4 light.

Doesn’t it kind of suck that all the desirable wagons are European? Not to mention most Americans don’t know how to care for German cars at all. (Source: I work on European cars 5 days a week and kind of hate my life)

I’ve put 18k on my second car in 5 years. If you’ve got two cars it’s not a big deal. That being said the mileage doesn’t bother me because it’s lasted this long and has had a bunch of routine maintenance done

That’s not quite apples to apples. M3's are (to me) a special package. The whole car works in harmony. This is a dodge. What does it matter? And cheap SRT8 prices for 500ish NA horsepower with a better looking front end?

I think what he meant was the parts used are factory. It seems to be extremely well put together, low miles, and comes in at cheap SRT8 prices for infinitely more car

I know my comment was asinine, as is your defense of this law. Your own admittance you don’t really care about the law makes me think you were just shit posting

No. You’re one of the people who will reach as far as you have to to make your view point valid. If a fine for leaving his car unlocked and running is ok, why not fine you for owning a vehicle? You’re just adding another car to the plethora ready to be stolen by some enterprising young fellow

Ugh. You’re one of those people

Because people like you and I don’t buy cars like normies. If I buy something I’m gonna own it. And I mean own it. It’s getting driven hard, I’m doing the work on it, and it’s going to be mine for at least 5 years.

Do you live in California?

I love M cars but these new offerings really don’t do much for me anymore and that makes me sad

Could you imagine a 1.8t AWD manual iM? Hot hatch contender of the century

Honestly, I use my engine to slow me down moreso than my brakes, and the lack of brake lights gets a little dangerous

In some states that’s against the law
