These Korean cars hold up well in the short term, but I’m curious as to how well they’ll hold up in the next 5 years. Get into a used 2010 Elantra and that thing just feels ungodly cheap. The new designs look pretty great but some of that cost cutting came from somewhere

+1 for wegmans

More engine/less weight.

It’s my next project. The swaps are common enough so there’s a lot of information out there. I’m gonna need a family car in the next few years and I’m not really a fan of most cars in my price range I figure I’ll just build the car I want

There was one on Bring-a-Trailer for about $10k. Looked just as clean

Or, if we don’t have $45k to drop on a CTS-V why not buy this or build your own? 5 series wagons are in abundance and there are LS swap kits available for under $3k. I’m about it

For me it’s the sound. I own an older Mustang, it’s not slow by any means but the noise is intoxicating to me. I love a good V6 but for me it’s all about the sound

For real. I’m two years into my relationship and she’s already been through a BRAT that was very short lived and a complete tear down and rebuild on a Probe GT.

Rare doesn’t mean you can command whatever price you want. It’s neat but so so beat. CP for me

As far as combat operations in Afghanistan are concerned the USMC rarely uses the Humvee. MAT-V’s and MRAPs have already taken their place.

I guess I’ve got a unicorn, 08 GT500 bone stock.

I don’t know you, and I don’t know your driving style, but I’m gonna guess that’s user error. You’re either dropping the clutch at 4 grand, or riding it with every shift. I’m at 80,000 miles on my stock clutch with multiple hard launches

Easier to add a robot than train the human. I’m just being a shithead, slow day at work

Yeah cars and planes totally operate on the same basic functions. I often confuse airports for dealerships.

I don’t know if you saw, but the GT350 punches way above it’s weight already. Of course the DCT will push it into supercar territory

A small part of me hopes it makes the car worse.

Ah, my mistake

I love that we can’t have opinions without being able to drop 60k on a new car.

That’s a shame, I got my girl hooked on a manual. Now we’re waiting for her Hyundai to die

It makes complete business sense. But Ford has been keeping their performance cars manual only and it gave them serious enthusiast cred. GT500, ST, RS, GT350, all manual only
