i'm glad apple wasn't like that when stuff like keyboards and such came out. consistency is a good thing => copying good stuff is good for the user (which is why THEY do it all the time, it's not like any touchstuff is really from them). i don't want to have to relearn everything for every device.

because vlc just plays back. what if i want to edit it? convert it for some other device? etc..

I was DJing with Vinyl controlling Traktor to play MP3s for years. Oops, did it again, vinyl and mp3 in one sentence. It's great btw, augmented reality ftw.

i thought it's wired only? (and i have an iphone, too. just never had to use it). and it was provider dependent till about a month or two ago.

is bluetooth tethering yet on the iphone? or still just the wired one?

+1. most don't get what windows phone's about. it's a phone that works, and serves you. not some "i can do everything check my features" phone. at that, it's way further than most androids, and than iphone. the updates are all not needed, just nice to have. i can't wait for the opening for developers, announced to be…

that thing launched only some months ago. it's very FAST at catching up. and it, contrary to the other phones, was designed in a way to make the lacking features mostly a non-issue (never missed copy paste over the months that i didn't had it, unlike on other phones where i missed it on day one).

problem is, the only answer is both. functionality can not be useful and worthwile if it's really hard to access (the extreme: having to program the functinality yourself ergo creating your own app). and a great ui without function can't be great, too.

moving files around should have ZERO effect on an ssd. that's one reason why they're so fast to begin with.

waiting all that time to then, out there, have to scratch yourself and can't will be quite a bummer..

doesn't make sense, as there are a lot of ambiguous cases. and thus can offend a lot. better to use phrases that don't need context to understand them clearly. if i state an opinion, i say "i think". so i would never say you're an idiot if you're not a globally accepted idiot.
