problem with opt-in is, what to do with those that don't move on? stuff that you know will be a default feature of the future should not be opt in. like the twitter redesign. managing two designs is not a long-term goal of twitter => why opt in?.

It's a difference to say "your mothers cooking is terrible" and "i don't like your mothers cooking". one is generic, and says no one will ever like your mothers cooking. one is the personal opinion.

it hasn't fallen. you just got old, lost the habit to adapt to new stuff. page works fine and looks nice. at least in chrome, no issues at all.
