there's no lag at all here (google chrome). the comments are just fine, no clue what the issue is you have. "borked" is no word that explains the issue.

same here. except mine never changes from the os' default desktop. never see it much.
well. problem is, what sucks here? the new design is great, but that's user dependent. the usability is here, it works, and it works fast. you haven't lost any functionality, you gain some performance, and hopefully get some security back that the old one didn't have.
except if he'd use kinect to realtime track the room and move the textures with the objects..
thanks, chrome, for staying up to date and update the adobe crap, too. all green here, puhh.
i just pin them to the favorites. win+e, and on the topleft i have all the ones that i need to access quickly which are not in libraries (most are in libraries so i never have to care about them individually)
except that it's always the same: a page changes, huge outcry of all users. weeks later, no one really remembers the old one. seen it tons of times on facebook, seen it here, seen it on engadget, seen it on forii, etc.. people just always start to cry around when something changes. ordinary people can not do fair…
no they wont. because caring about those who're stuck in some old habits that can't move on means full stagnation, killing any form of progress. which should not be what people want (but a lot do)
no it's not. it's just a change. you have to get used to a few things, but it's not making things worse. some things are not yet finished, but will over time. but it works, works well so far.
bugs and lacking features will (as always) get ironed out over time (is this the first time you experienced a change on a platform?). but even with some of the quirks it works great so far. and it looks great, indeed.
have you USED one? because so far most that used one can't really enjoy iOS much anymore. usability is massively increased on it. away from the "into an app, out of an app" app centric mini-monopole world into a unified phone experience.
I'm in switzerland. no clue on what bands we actually are :) it just works.
why all this work? spend that time getting used to the new layout. it's not like the old one will come back. ca.giz will get the new one in a short time, too.
no, nothing shuts complainers up. else, they would by now just enjoy what ever they have, and be happy. like i am with my omnia 7.
it would have delayed the release. ie9 is not finished yet (but soon will be), and the browser of winphone7 will be ie9 in the future. but adapting it and all and deploying the update will take some while. till then, winphone7 is out for sale since quite a while. better than not releasing it.
i guess we all hope so
sweet. anything that replaces the crap that is current nokia os is fine with me. and as i personally love winphone7 and prefer it massively over android, it's double-win. nokia is the device of choise at work, for some reason.
except that "we all" is completely wrong. what i hate about the change is the same as everywhere: tons of crybabies having to hate the change just for changes sake.
@The5thElephant: switzerland. we don't follow commercial hypes as much. we buy stuff we use.
@Unionhawk: indeed. sadly they never caught on. they're so much better than pure tablets, and so much better than pure laptops. i have a 2730p currently and wait for a sandybridge version with multitouch (the 2740p already has pen + multitouch).
